you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
The Great Commandments:
Matthew 22:37-40, “(37) Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.(38) This is the first and great commandment. Beliefs Statement
Anchored Fellowship—Uniontown, PA

1. The Trinity
We believe in the Truine God. This one God exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These are equal in power and glory, but distinct in office and function (1 John 5:7; Mat. 3:16 & 17).
2. The Word of God
We believe that the Bible was inspired by God. It is God’s complete revelation of Himself to mankind. The Bible is inerrant and infallible in the original manuscripts (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 3:2).
3. Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and purchased atonement for us through His death and resurrection. He is the only way to the Father (Mat. 1:23; Heb. 4:15; Rom. 5:10 & 11; John 14:6) .
4. The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts of sin and draws the receptive to faith in Christ. The Holy Spirit then indwells every believer and empowers them for service (John 16:8; 1 Cor. 12:3; Eph. 1:13, 4:30; Rom. 8:9; Acts 1:8) .
5. Mankind, Works, and Faith for Salvation
We believe that mankind is lost and sinful, both by nature and choice. He cannot be accepted into Heaven through any merit of his own. Works do not earn or maintain salvation, salvation is by faith alone. We teach the believer, after conversion, to serve God from a heart of gratitude as the Holy Spirit enables them (Rom. 5:12; Gal. 2:16; Gal. 3:10 to be referenced with Deut. 27:26).
6. The Church
We believe that the body of Christ, the Church, is universal and consists of all those who have believed in Jesus (1 Cor. 12:13).
7. The Ordinances
We believe that Jesus instituted the ordinance of Baptism by Immersion, and the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper. Every believer should be baptized, and participate in periodic observances of the Lord’s Supper (Mat. 28:19; Mat. 3:16; 1 Cor. 11:24 & 25).
8. The Rapture
We believe that the Bible teaches the pre-tribulational, pre-millennial rapture of the Church by Jesus (1 Thes. 1:10, 4:13-18).
9. The Second Coming
We believe in the Second Coming of Christ. Christ will set His foot back on the earth and overcome all the wicked (Zech. 14:4; Rev. 20:11-15).
10. The Judgment
We believe that every man and woman will be brought before God to be judged. The wicked will be judged and condemned, but the true believer will never come into condemnation once saved. Therefore, the judgment of the believer is to receive rewards for his works (Revelation 20:11-15; Rom. 14:10; Rom. 8:1; John 5:24; Psalm 37:33; Mat. 25:23).

Core Values Statement
Anchored Fellowship—Uniontown, PA

1. The headship of Christ
The Church is unique. It is a worldwide institution that has no man or woman in command. It is to consist of local churches that accept the headship of Christ. We value the direction and leadership of Christ, through the Holy Spirit. Here at Anchored, we are not ruled by men, but
guided by the Holy Spirit which works through the local body (Eph. 4:15).
2. Teaching the whole Word of God
God desires His Church to teach all of His Word. Because of this, we emphasize thorough, systematic preaching through the Bible that is expositional and applicational. Thoroughly and accurately teaching God’s Word will help to mature the believers, and guard against false
teaching (Acts 20:26-28). It is vital to the future spiritual health of the unchurched, and it is vital to the churched as well. Because of false teaching, many christians are under the bondage of their own belief systems. We will use God’s Word to teach the unchurched in the right way, and encourage sound beliefs among the churched.
3. Experiencing God through worship
Worship is vital to the life of a church. It is our way of expressing our deep affections for God. It is also an avenue that God uses to work in the life of the believer. Christianity is as much about experience as it is knowledge. Because of this, we know how important it is to experience God through our worship time. We will strive to worship God as sincerely and effectively as possible (John 4:23).
4. Intentionally pursuing our generation
Jesus gave us the great commission. The message of salvation by Christ is great news! It is news that deserves to be heard by everyone. It is the responsibility (and privilege) of every church and every christian to seek opportunities to share this news with others. The great commission is a command that requires action from us. Therefore, we will actively pursue winning, discipling, and equipping all who are willing (Mat. 28:19) .
5. The importance of healthy relationships
The Bible teaches that the Holy spirit can enable us to have strong and healthy relationships. Strong relationships do not come easily. We must learn how to manage our relationships, and seek the enablement of the Holy Spirit. Healthy relationships give wings to our personal testimony. They identify us to the world as being true christians (John 13:35; Rom. 12:10). Therefore, we will promote biblical counsel that instructs us in our relationships, and encourage our fellowship to seek the Spirit’s empowerment to love and interact with others as Jesus would.
6. The power of prayer
When it comes down to it, prayer is our connection to the Father. Jesus provided for it by His death and resurrection (Eph. 2 & 3), and the Holy Spirit aids us in our prayers (Rom. 8:26). It is not a ritual that is used to bend the will of the Father to comply with ours, it is quite the opposite; it is a communication with God that helps to bend our will to His. Therefore, prayer will be a major emphasis in all of our worship services, Bible studies, and fellowship business meetings.
7. The necessity of discipleship
After conversion, we must mature. The new birth experience is similar to the natural birth. Just as a baby needs help in the growth process, so does a baby christian. Following that pattern, even maturing christians need help to continue through the growth process. When the baby christian grows into a mature adult and finds a place in ministry, then he/she helps others along in the process. Anchored seeks to excel in the discipleship process in order to maintain a strong and multiplying fellowship (1 Cor. 3:1; Heb. 5:14; 2 Peter 3:18).
8. Unity in diversity
God is not interested in cloning a specific christian. He is interested in using the diversity of His followers to add to the beauty of His Church. The more diverse the local church is, the more appealing it becomes to the community. The only danger posed by diversity, is when the local
church allows diversity to become division. Our fellowship will focus on attaining unity while welcoming diversity (1 Cor. 12; Eph. 4:2 & 3).
9. Non-denominational, independent structure
It was never the Lord’s intention for church leadership to “lord it over” the membership. It is very sad that so many organizations and denominations have abused the principle of God-given authority. We are not necessarily against denominationalism, yet we are against the overemphasis of doctrines that divide the Body of Christ. We promote Christ and His Word through a non- denominational, independent, God honoring structure. We do not seek to control our people or those affiliated with us. Those who attend and participate in our fellowship, do so willingly, as they yield to the control of the Holy Spirit (Mat. 20:25-28).
10. The use of contemporary methods
The Gospel Message never changes, yet it is relevant to every culture. Conscience tells us that the message cannot change, but wisdom tells us that the methods must. We feel convicted by upholding traditions that isolate us from our generation (Mark 7:9). We must seek after our generation with methods that are effective to them–contemporary methods which do not violate Scriptural principles or commands (1 Cor. 9:19-22).
